Somerset Food Links is the host for Levels' Best - the brand for high quality food and drink produced within the unique landscape
of the Somerset Levels and Moors.
The logo represents two landscape features - the pollard willow and the rhyne. The brand name represents the best of food and drink from the Somerset Levels and Moors.
It took three years to develop the Levels' Best Regulations. With assistance from Natural England we worked with farmers, growers, orchard owners and food processors, to compile the criteria for Levels' Best. The Regulations are registered with the Intellectual Property Office to protect this 'landscape brand' and the high standards it upholds for food and drink production within the Somerset Levels and Moors. Somerset Food Links maintains this website. It plans further developments - such as the online Levels' Best shop - to increase the support it provides to the Levels' Best food businesses as well as the customers and consumers who use this service.
Somerset Food Links administers the Levels' Best Market Place - a dedicated market for the sale of Levels' Best food and drink. It takes place every month between March and December in the Old Stable Courtyard, Montacute House.
